I had to work Sunday and Monday and the ER was BUSY. Let me be the first to tell you twelve hour shifts are LONG and can be very tiring especially when you are on your feet all day and seem like at times are running 90 to nothing. Yesterday it did not help that during the terribly busy Monday I had a headache throughout part of my shift. Then I got home and even though I was extremely tired I could not sleep well, which was miserable (don’t you hate that). So needless to say today has been a very lazy day. I slept in while Bob wrote a paper before work. I have not felt well today. I am not sure if it is because I am still tired or what, who knows. Mostly Izzy and I have been hanging out on the couch watching the olympics, reading, and napping. I did get a chance to catch up with last night’s Women Tell All Bachelor episode. (I am so thankful for HULU.com) Oh how I hope the rumors aren’t true and that Jake chooses Tenley. I even think I would be ok if he pulled a Jason Mesnick and changed his mind afterwards. We will see next week.
Study Study Study…
If my sweet husband is not at work then usually you will find him with a book in his hand. Poor thing it seems he is always studying. Tonight he is specifically working on a Hebrew power point. Oh the joys of school!

The Start of Something New…
Today I started my first official sewing project I am so excited! I am learning, it also is taking lots of patience but so far I love it! I also adore my new sewing machine it is so easy to use, the perfect birthday present!
My set up in the kitchen
(I am so ready for April when we move to our new apartment and I get my craft room/office)
Sewing away, and listening to Pandora radio, all in my PJ’s makes for a fun night
Isn’t he cute! I love him so much! Thanks for my new hobby!
Miss Izzy got a haircut, isn’t she a cutie. I was not really happy with the job the groomer did they didn’t trim her face really well and other things so I am looking for a new groomer. If you know of any in the Raleigh/Durham/Cary area let me know.
Longing….
I am longing for warmer days, the smell of coconut, sounds of waves crashing, and my toes in the sand!
Two tickets back to Jamaica please!

Fat Tuesday…
There are many things I miss about Mobile, Alabama one being Mardi Gras season. I was actually sad when I walked into Walmart and did not see a huge section of Mardi Gras supplies. I miss the parades, moonpies, beads(especially when you got free Krispy Kreme doughnuts for them), and king cake.**sigh** I miss it all.

Snowy Saturday Morning…
Remember this post from Friday, well this is what we woke up to Saturday morning as I headed out the door to work.
It has mostly melted away except for some shady areas but it sure did make everything pretty. Plus it was beautiful without the awful icy roads which was wonderful!

February 14th….
I must say this is one of my favorite days of the year but I am a little partial. February 14th is my birthday as well as Valentines day and this was our first on to share as husband and wife. Overall it was one of my favorite birthday’s ever! My hubby bought me beautiful flowers and my favorite candy Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and sweet card for valentines day! For my birthday he bought me an fabulous sewing/embroidery machine, and a yummy cookie cake that we shared with friends at lunch after church. For dinner we went to Kanki, which is a sushi and Japanese restaurant, with Jess and Josh! Overall a PERFECT day!

Fabulous Friday….
Let me just share a little bit about today it was FABULOUS! First off Bob and I both had the day off which is rare! This morning Bob got up and told me to sleep in so I did then later he woke me up to delicious smells. He made a huge breakfast for us- scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, biscuits, and fruit served with coffee and milk!
Mr. Wonderful is simply that wonderful. We enjoyed relaxing, reading, and just spending time together. I had planned on cooking dinner for us but he took me on a date! He is such a sweetheart. We walked outside and guess what, it was snowing, which is funny since we were not forecasted to get any snow until yesterday when they changed it to possible snow and now tonight they say we may get 2-4 inches! (Speaking of snow I know my friends and family in GA (including Albany-can you believe it!) and Mobile, AL enjoyed the snow y’all got today!) I love the snow! Date night plus the beauty of a winter wonderland equals perfection.
Izzy was excited to play in the snow again.

When we got home we made snow cream, and watched the opening ceremonies for the olympics!
I loved today, nothing special just spending time together and enjoying each other’s company. We are both back to work tomorrow and then Sunday it is my birthday and Valentine’s day!
Hope you had a great Friday.
Goodnight y’all!!

Love and War….
I am so excited this is my first book review for Blogging for Books. This is a review of John and Stasi Eldredge’s book Love and War: Finding the Marriage You’ve Dreamed Of. I must say this book was fantastic. I was honestly skeptical to read it at first but it exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. My husband and I have been married for 9 months and prior to our marriage as well as during our marriage have read numerous books on how to have a God honoring marriage and honestly most of them were all the same but this book is different. John and Stasi are so transparent about their marriage and the fact that marriage is wonderful but hard, very painful at times. They shared their joys and struggles and related to you in your own marriage through their open, straightforward dialogue. The don’t offer the delusion that marriage is only a romantic fairy tale, instead they show that it is only one small part. You must fight to have a good marriage and it will be painful, joyous, and worth it. There are some many things that fight to destroy your marriage and we must be willing to go to battle for it. You can have the marriage God desires for you and your spouse by placing Him first. Be open about your brokeness and hurts in your marriage and allow God to heal that brokeness. As well as fighting against the temptations and things that seek to destroy your marriage. I highly recommend to this book to all who are married, especially to all newlyweds!
